Job: UX Research and Testing Consultant

Systemscope is looking for an enthusiastic User Experience (UX) Research and Testing Consultant to support our project teams as we work to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and ease of use of government digital offerings.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
• Leading UX research with a focus on usability testing including moderated and un-moderated, remote and in-person, multivariate and A/B testing, and testing with assistive technologies
• Working with clients to understand user needs, motivations, test goals and requirements
• Sharing your passion about the business value of user centred design approaches, and promoting that value to others
• Continuously evolving Systemscope’s UX research and testing methods, approaches and tools
• Coaching and mentoring cross-functional project teams in UX research methods
• Documenting and prioritizing findings to share with project team and stakeholders as required
• Effectively and eloquently communicating results to senior executives

Must have

• 5+ years of experience conducting UX testing, validation and research
• Knowledge of and experience with Lean UX and Agile methodologies
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to organize and synthesize large quantities of information
• Passion for staying on top of evolving UX best practices and ability to communicate and incorporate new UX research methodologies and testing techniques
• Ability to multi-task and manage time across competing priorities and projects
• Post-secondary education
• Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills

Nice to have

• You can work effectively in both English and French
• You have GC Secret (Level II) clearance
• You have experience and knowledge of the public sector (organizations, policies, programs, processes)
• You are a natural collaborator and love to solve problems
