Job: UX Research Consultant

Systemscope is looking for an enthusiastic UX Research Consultant to support our project teams as we work to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and ease of use of government digital offerings.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
• Applying a variety of research methods with a focus on usability and accessibility testing, observations and in-depth interviewing, surveys, card sorting
• Working with our UX team and clients to articulate research questions and priorities and advocating for user needs across their journey
• Sharing your passion about the business value of UX research in user centred design approaches, and promoting that value to others
• Analyzing, synthesizing and summarizing findings to share with different audiences to inform user experience, product and service design
• Effectively and eloquently communicating results to your stakeholder’s hearts and brains

Must have

• 2+ years of experience conducting usability testing and accessibility testing, observations and in-depth interviewing, surveys, card sorting
• Strong analytical skills that will enable you to unpack and solve complex problems spanning across multiple GC contexts
• Understanding of iterative UX product and service design
• Ability to organize and synthesize large quantities of information
• Passion for staying on top of evolving UX best practices and ability to communicate and incorporate new UX research methodologies
• Ability to assess and manage time across competing priorities and projects
• Superb storytelling skills to communicate insights and recommendations to different stakeholders
• Natural collaborator and love to solve problems
• Post-secondary education

Nice to have

• You can work effectively in both English and French
• You have GC Secret (Level II) clearance
• You have experience and knowledge of the public sector (organizations, policies, programs, processes)
