Senior IM Practitioner

Jane Stewart is a Senior Information Management Practitioner at Systemscope. Jane has a Master's degree in library science from Simmons College in Boston, and has been working in the information field for over 15 years, in both the private and public sectors.

Jane is an enthusiastic champion of user-centered approaches to the design of effective service experiences. Most recently, Jane was the Director of Information Management at Canada Business, the federal government's multi-channel and inter-jurisdictional information service for Canadian entrepreneurs, where she was responsible for the IM aspects of a content management implementation, and the development of a unified content strategy to guide the integration of multiple web sites under a client-driven information architecture.

While with the federal government, Jane was awarded the Information Management Community Recognition Award for her work with the Public Sector CIO Council's XML Subcommittee, where she initiated a project to standardize government program and service descriptions. In the process, she enjoyed learning about enterprise architecture, e-Government, the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration, and Canada.
